Tom Marsico is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Marsico Capital, which has served as the investment adviser to the Marsico Funds since 1997. Tom sets Marsico Capital's overall research and investment strategy and is a co-manager of the Marsico Focus Fund, the Marsico Growth Fund, and the Marsico Global Fund. He has over 30 years of experience in the investment management field as a securities analyst and a portfolio manager. Tom's extensive background in rigorous securities analysis led him to recruit and train Marsico Capital's multitalented investment team. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and holds an MBA from the University of Denver.
Jim Gendelman is a co-manager of the Marsico Global Fund with Tom Marsico and a co-manager of the Marsico International Opportunities Fund with Munish Malhotra. Prior to joining Marsico Capital in 2000, Jim was a Vice President of International Sales at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 13 years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Jim was a certified public accountant for Ernst & Young from 1983 to 1985.
