Tom Marsico is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Marsico Capital Management, LLC ("Marsico Capital"), which has served as the investment adviser to the Marsico Funds since 1997. Tom sets Marsico Capital's overall research and investment strategy and is the co-manager of the Marsico Focus Fund, the Marsico Growth Fund, and the Marsico Global Fund. He has over 25 years of experience in money management. Tom's extensive background in rigorous securities analysis led him to recruit and train Marsico Capital's multitalented investment team. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and holds an MBA from the University of Denver.
Doug Rao co-manages the Focus Fund and the Growth Fund with Tom Marsico and serves as portfolio manager of the Marsico Flexible Capital Fund. Prior to joining Marsico Capital in 2005, Doug spent more than four years at Trust Company of the West (TCW) where he was a Senior Vice President and Financial Services Analyst for U.S. equities. He has 10 years of experience as a securities analyst and holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
